This luxury boutique style self catering apartment is fabulous and is the largest available at Kinbrae House. The furniture and furnishings are simply stunning and the walls are lined with local art and unusual artefacts making Cornish Chough a truly luxurious get away.
The apartment has central heating and constant piping hot water. In the cosy sitting room there is a lovely working wood burning stove and mantelpiece framed by mystical mermaids…….
The Kitchen & Garden
The separate kitchen, with it’s own entrance door from the garden, is furnished with a fully fitted paint finished shaker style kitchen with Neff appliances including an integrated slim line dishwasher, an integrated fridge freezer, a gas 5 burner hob, a hide and slide oven and multifunction microwave and many more lovely details. The floor is finished with gorgeous decorative glazed ceramic tiles in a modern encaustic tile design.
All small appliances, cookware, crockery, cutlery and glasses are of the highest quality and design, including Joseph Joseph accessories. Cooking could not be more fun!
This lovely kitchen is a delight to the senses. So whilst cooking have a look at the beautiful hand painted glass panes in the original 1930s back door that cast silhouettes in the evening light, the Roman blind and ornaments that adorn the kitchen enhance this lovely countryside inspired space.
Cornish Chough has a delightful private garden and flagstone paved terrace for use when staying in this fabulous apartment. Modern garden furniture has been provided for alfresco dining and sunbathing. Access to the garden is from the kitchen door or from the garden path and car park. The garden is turfed and has perimeter herbaceous borders.
Next to the back door is a beautifully appointed and fully refurbished utility drying room. Guests staying in Cornish Chough will have access to use this clever and useful space. This lovely light bright room has been fitted with a white tiled floor with white painted T&G wall panelling and tiles and an original rendered cob wall. There is a baby Belfast sink with constant hot water and a washing machine dryer stack, drying racks and storage shelves.
The terrace and garden have been fitted with exterior mains lighting and LED garden lights.
Guests who are staying with their one very well behaved small to medium sized dog must pick up before they leave please. The garden is not totally enclosed so please take care if you leave your dog in the garden unattended.
This is a non smoking garden.
There is an access door from the terrace to the garage which can be hired for an additional charge per week. The garage is large enough to park a standard vehicle, a classic or sports car that you might prefer to keep in a garage when staying at Kinbrae House or it can be used as a place to store your water sports equipment. The garage is accessed from the lane behind Kinbrae House and has an automatic garage door with remote control.

The Living Space
The sitting room with dining area for two is a lovely peaceful space with a very high ceiling and a delightful Edwardian window that fills the tastefully appointed room with warm afternoon sunlight. The floor finish is Karndean Country Oak, a stunning anti slip wood effect flooring.
The room is furnished with a very comfortable 3 seater sofa and matching armchair, occasional tables, a credenza, side tables and lamps. There is a lovely distress paint finished dining table and two chairs to dine at. The walls are adorned with artwork and artefacts and the curtain treatments are full length blackout.
During the winter months, when it can get cooler in Cornwall, why not get cosy by the cute blue enamel wood burning stove and watch your favourite film on the 43” smart TV. The stove is laid ready to be lit and a basket of logs is provided. If you use the fire please be sure to keep the door closed once lit and to use fire wood only.
There are gorgeous throws and soft cushions that add the finishing touches to this lovely relaxing room, so sit back and enjoy this home from home apartment.
A delicious Cornish cream tea, fresh flowers and fruit bowl welcome you on your arrival.
The very large light filled bedroom has a huge luxious handmade super king divan bed that can be made in to a twin configuration if preferred. The White Company light as a feather duvet, pillows and 300 count Egyptian cotton bedding and sumptuous topper will aid a fantastic night sleep.
The window treatments in this lovely apartment are all bespoke made black out lined full length curtains so you can have that much needed lie in or an afternoon nap. There are two beautiful Edwardian windows in the bedroom.
The bedroom has been furnished with the deepest softest carpet, a triple wardrobe and dressing table with matching stool, a lovely Lloyd loom armchair, matching bedside tables and rope knot bedside lamps.
A colour coordinated DAB radio alarm Bluetooth media device sits on one of the bedside tables but can be moved to the sitting room should you wish to listen to the radio or your own music whilst sitting by the fire or preparing your dinner.
The walls are adorned with lovely works of art and mirrors. The bedding and accessories are colour coordinated, adding the finishing touches to this most luxurious boudoir.
The modern fully tiled stylish bathroom is furnished with a shower bath, wall hung pan and concealed cistern toilet and vanity basin unit are adorned with a heated illuminated wall mirror with power point and chrome accessories.
The rain shower is a digital Aqualisa which automatically sets and stays at your desired temperature, which once you have experienced this you will want one in your own home!
Fluffy towels stay warm and cosy on the heated towel rail and soft robes and slippers await you after a piping hot shower or a lovely soak in a bubble filled bath.
Complimentary luxurious Out of Eden toiletries will add to the total pampering experience of this home from home self catering apartment.
The floor finish in the sitting room, hall and bathroom is fabulous Karndean Country Oak anti slip wood effect flooring.
Cornish Chough is also furnished with a personal safe, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, steam iron, drying rack and ironing board, recycling bins, medical kit, emergency sewing kit, cleaning materials and independent WiFi and many more thoughtful touches.
The stove is laid ready to be lit and a basket of wood has been provided for your stay. Only fire wood can be used in the stove.
Games and puzzles found in the TV table or side board are available for your use during your stay.
A complementary car park space is available in our private car park for the duration of your stay, parking is at your own risk and please park considerately.
A garage is available to rent on a first come serve basis. Be sure to ask the booking agent about this if you would like to park your car in a garage or have sporting equipment that you would like to store when staying at Kinbrae House.
There is an exterior shower for guests who are returning from the beach, this can be accessed through the coded locked gate at the rear of the coastal garden area of Cornish Chough and from the coded locked gate at the other side of property for other guests staying at Kinbrae House.
This secure area is available at the rear of the property for the storage of water sport equipment and bicycles at owners own risk.
We accept one medium sized well behaved dog in Cornish Chough by special arrangement. We do not accept puppies, infirm or elderly dogs. Dogs must never be left unattended when staying in Cornish Chough. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedroom.
Kinbrae House is a non smoking premises.
